Each tool takes a few minutes to set up. Written so first-time users can follow along.
no more DASI
A Claude skill for field-aware academic English proofreading.
- Clone the repository.
- Link the skill into your Claude skills folder.
- Start a new Claude Code session and ask for a proofread, naming your field.

Example request: Proofread this abstract for an optics journal. Numbers, citations and terms are checked by script after every edit.
Optics MCP
The Thin Film Lab engine as an MCP server. Needs Node.js 18+ or Bun.
$ curl -O https://optics.labskillz.com/optics-mcp.mjs
$ claude mcp add optics -- node "$(pwd)/optics-mcp.mjs"
Then ask Claude, for example: Design a 5-pair mirror for 633 nm and plot R from 500 to 800 nm. For Claude Desktop, see optics.labskillz.com.

Runs in your browser. Nothing to install. Open thinfilmlab.org, set the center wavelength and number of pairs, and the spectrum updates as you type.
